"Monster Hurricane" Milton made landfall in Florida, U.S.an evacuation order for millions of people

A powerful hurricane, Milton, has made landfall in the southeastern U.S. state of Florida.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center said in a weather report at 8:30 p.m. local time on the 9th that Milton made landfall on the coast of Siestaqui in Florida's western Sarosota County.

Milton, which is expected to penetrate midwestern Florida, is a Category 3 of five hurricanes, down from its strongest Category 5 two days ago, but remains strong.

Local authorities have entered an emergency system to minimize damage, ordering millions to evacuate ahead of the Milton landings.

In addition, tens of thousands of tourists were stranded as famous theme parks such as Disneyland and Universal Studios were closed and about 1,900 flights were suspended.

Hurricane Milton is forecast to have maximum sustained winds of 195km/h, with a tsunami of up to 4m off the coast and up to 460mm of heavy rain in some areas.

Fifteen counties in Florida have been ordered to evacuate in preparation for a Milton strike, according to the Associated Press.

Reuters reported that 2 million people had been ordered to evacuate.
