Chicken skewers sold on Bali Island, Indonesia, a world-class tourist destination, are shocking as they turned out to be "dog meat."

The island of Bali banned the sale of dog meat last year, but some merchants still trafficked cheap dogs to make them grilled on skewers.

Citing a French AFP news agency report on the 10th local time, the Japanese magazine President reported that some of the street foods sold on Bali Island were made of dog meat.

If you trade dog meat in Bali, you will be fined up to three months in prison, 50 million rupiah, and about 4.3 million won in our money. However, some merchants still make grilled skewers with dog meat and sell them to overseas tourists.

According to the media, authorities in Bali discovered three sellers in July for violating regulations prohibiting dog meat. One of them was a first-time offender and ended with a warning, while the other two were found to be recidivism and were charged.

The magazine also taught how to distinguish between dog meat and other meat in Bali street food.

Restaurants and vendors handling dog meat in Bali usually have the word "RW," which means dog meat in local dialect. It is said to be an abbreviation for Rintek Wuuk (soft fur) in central Indonesia.

However, tourists who do not know this often buy and eat dog meat skewers, and some street vendors cheat dog meat with chicken, which is a problem.
