The Korea Land and Housing Corporation and LH's lease projects for young people or newlyweds have nearly tripled in a year to 100 billion won last year.

Since last year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has released a list of "malicious renters" who habitually fail to return deposits, but LH's confirmation process has been insufficient.

LH is conducting a lease project for young people or newlyweds.

It is a kind of residential welfare project in which LH first signs a lease contract with the landlord and re-lease it to the applicant at a low price.

However, as of August, more than 2,700 renters have not returned the deposit to LH.

Among them, the number of damages is expected to be greater as there were landlords who did not return more than 50 deposits.

In addition, the amount of deposits that were not returned nearly tripled from 38.1 billion won last year to 100 billion won last year.

With the spread of jeonse fraud, LH damage has also increased rapidly.

As such, it is important to filter out "malicious renters" who do not return deposits on a regular basis, but it has been confirmed that management is not done properly.

According to YTN coverage, 20 of the lessors who did not return the deposit to LH were registered on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "malicious lessors list."
