What will a city look like in the future where fast-developing cutting-edge technology changes?

For the first time this year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government showed its vision of a future "smart city," emphasizing that the goal is not "state-of-the-art" but "companion of the weak."

The round wheel rolled and seemed to have deflated, and then went straight up the stairs.

It is a new technology that will be applied to wheelchair wheels, changing the shape of the wheel when it encounters obstacles and advancing without shaking.

This machine increases walking power by 20-30% when wrapped like a belt around the waist and legs.

Even if you get older and your muscle strength weakens, you can move actively, so you can live a healthier life.

"Smart Life Week," which was first introduced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, introduced how cutting-edge technology helps everyone enjoy a freer and better daily life.

[KIM YE NA / Department of Nursing at Hanyang University] I didn't know that these various technologies were coming out, but after experiencing it, I thought that Korea's medical future is bright and that many people can stay more comfortable. I think it's really cool.]

This exhibition also featured a large number of future vehicles such as autonomous vehicles and urban air transportation.

The self-driving bus, which is also a pilot project in Seoul, operates at dawn when the bus stops due to a lack of drivers, providing the feet of street cleaners and security guards who go to work early.

Central air traffic is an alternative for residents in vulnerable medical areas to quickly move to hospitals in the city.

[Oh Se-hoon / Seoul Mayor: It's not our ultimate goal to win a state-of-the-art technology award. Our core goal is the 'direction' of state-of-the-art technology. I sincerely hope all citizens will be happy with the future technology.]

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it will more than double its size next year, stressing that the event is designed to depict a future where everyone is safe, healthy, and not marginalized.
