Kim Young-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea, who caused a controversy over his remarks supporting the re-election and by-elections in Busan, said he sincerely apologized to the deceased and their families, saying he made careless remarks.

Rep. Kim wrote on his SNS that I also did not take the death of the deceased seriously as the son of a father and the father of his children, and that it was his fault.

Earlier, Rep. Kim posted on social media whether he would take another picture of the people's power to waste taxpayers' money by providing the cause of the by-election.

Since then, critics have criticized Kim Jae-yoon, the late head of Busan's Geumjeong-gu District Office, for his inappropriate remarks, and lawmaker Kim deleted the post.
