The Joint Chiefs of Staff said North Korea flew more than 20 trash balloons from last night (11th) to this morning, and about 10 drops were found in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province.
It was analyzed that the falling objects were household waste such as paper and vinyl, and there were no substances that threatened safety.
Earlier, North Korea issued a major statement yesterday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claiming that "the Republic of Korea has carried out severe political and military provocations to infiltrate drones into Pyongyang," and an hour later, the South Korean military detected the North's floating of garbage balloons.
