A posthumous memoir will be published that includes Alexei Navalny, a mysterious Russian anti-government activist who predicted his own death early on.

According to AFP on the 12th local time, the New Yorker in the United States and the London Times in the United Kingdom obtained and released excerpts of their memoirs in advance, which are scheduled to be published later this month.

According to the report, Navalny wrote on March 22, 2022, "I will spend the rest of my life in prison and then die here."

It was the day when a Russian court added a nine-year sentence to Navalny, who returned to his home country in early 2021 and was in prison after being addicted to Novichok, a nerve agent developed by the former Soviet Union.

Russian law enforcement continued to extend the sentence after accusing Navalny of extremism and fraud, who had exposed corruption by Putin and other high-ranking Russian officials through his anti-corruption foundation.

Navalny, who was eventually transferred to the northernmost prison in Siberia, notorious for its harsh conditions in December last year, died mysteriously on February 16 this year at the age of 47.Navalny's posthumous memoir, which will be published by the U.S. publisher Knopft on the 22nd of this month under the title

Patriot', will also be published in Russian.
