Four people were killed after an explosion at a gas station in Russia's Chechnya Republic, Tas news agency reported.

Four people, including two children, were killed when a fuel tank exploded at a gas station in Grozny, Chechnya on Wednesday, the Russian Emergency Ministry said in a statement.

The Health Ministry of the Republic of Chechnya said five people were injured in addition to the deaths.

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said on Telegram that the situation was under control and those responsible for the explosion would be brought to justice.

On the 27th of last month, an explosion at a gas station in the Republic of Dagestan near Chechnya killed 13 people, including two children.
