There must be a lot of people going to see autumn flowers in the cool weather.

In Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, a festival is held where visitors can see Gujeolcho, Baekilhong, and Cosmos, so they can fall into the mood of autumn flowers.

Reporter Lee Hwan of CCS Chungbuk Broadcasting visited the scene.

Colorful flowers sway like dancing in the autumn breeze.

Visitors who come to see the sprawling flower garden bring the normally quiet village to life.

Deoksa-ri, Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan-gun, where autumn flowers such as Gujeolcho and Baekil-hong bloom and add color, is in full swing to welcome visitors in autumn.

[Choi Il Soon / Goesan-eup, Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do: I love it. There are more things to see than last year. And last year, I only did it down there, but it's all up there now....]

This place is located on the middle of the mountain, so it is not accessible and it is difficult to cultivate crops, so cultivation of Gujeolcho was the main source of income.

Since about 20 years ago, the landscape industry has been developed by planting autumn flowers such as irises and cosmos in the farmland.

And last year, for the first time, we held a Gujeolcho Festival using local landscapes and specialties.

[Ji Jun-yong / Representative of Goesan Gujeolcho Festival in Chungcheongbuk-do: Our Gujeolcho Festival will be the starting point for the transition from cultivated agriculture to landscape agriculture. In order to develop from the secondary industry to the sixth industry, which encompasses the secondary and tertiary industries, into the tourism industry....]

Deoksari, Cheongcheon-myeon, Goesan-gun, which boasts a beautiful view with various planted trees and flowers, was designated as Chungcheongbuk-do's 9th private garden last year.

Gujeolcho is expected to bloom in mid-October, and the 2024 Goesan Gujeolcho Festival will run until the 31st.
