It is time for 'new agricultural business' and 'new agricultural expenses' to deliver good examples of making new agricultural technology or healthy food.

Today is the story of distillers made from domestic pears.

I'm reporter Kim Min-sung.

[Reporter]
Lee Dong-heon, an engineering student who majored in chemical engineering at KAIST and earned a doctorate.

I used to be an ordinary office worker, but now I make distilled liquor with pear, a special product, in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, my mother's hometown.

Usually, distillers are recognized for their true value only after being aged for more than a decade in an oak barrel.

Dongheon challenged himself to catch up with those years.

In the sense of actively shortening time rather than just waiting, we named our own development technology "Active Aging."

Pear distillers matured in a unique way are characterized by sweet aroma and clean taste.

It is explained that it can be aged for four years in a month.

With this taste and aroma, it is also recognized abroad by participating in the International Liquor Fair and IWSC Distilled Liquor category held in the UK this year.

[Lee Dong-heon / CEO of Traditional Liquor Manufacturing: We went to France directly and tasted Hennessy and Remy Martin, the world's top fruit-aged distillers, and received a V.S.O.P. rating.]

Dongheon makes alcohol only with pears from Cheonan, insisting that everything from ingredients to fairness to aging process must be domestic in order for Korean liquor to enter the global market.

Local farmers will be able to secure a market even after the holidays when demand for pears has slowed down.

Distillers developed by the company have a high frequency of 40 degrees.

It is said that this 500mL bottle contains six domestic pears.
