According to a Wall Street Journal survey of 2,100 voters in seven competing states, including Pennsylvania and Nevada, on the 12th local time, 48% of respondents said former President Trump was the right person for the Middle East war response.
Only 33% of the respondents said they were Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.
50% of the respondents said that former President Trump would also handle the war in Ukraine better, far exceeding Vice President Harris, who recorded 39%.
The Wall Street Journal noted, "While diplomatic and security issues are not a priority in the presidential election, the question of who is the right person for the issue is also emerging as a major variable in the race, as the winner of this presidential election eventually has to lead two wars."
