Six out of 10 recipients of medical benefits who receive medical expenses due to difficulties in living have not received a medical examination in the last three years.

According to the data received by Kim Sun-min of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party from the National Health Insurance Corporation, only 35.1% of the 673,000 recipients of medical benefits subject to health checkups last year were actually examined.

In addition, it was 36.3% in 2021 and 38.3% in 2022, which has never exceeded 40% in the last three years.

Representative Kim pointed out that there is a big difference compared to the fact that the health examination rate of all health insurance subscribers generally exceeds 70%, and that measures are needed to increase the examination rate of the medical vulnerable.
