"I think it's time to collect something again. In some situations, I say this, and when I feel certain emotions, I make this expression, but I think it's time to collect it so that I don't repeat the same language. I don't force myself to challenge, but if it's my own challenge to have time to gather, it's a challenge."Actor Park Jung-min of the

movie 'Jeon, Ran' heralded a time to recharge.

On the afternoon of the 14th, YTN met with actor Park Jung-min, who played the lead role in the movie "Jeon, Ran" in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and had a time to talk about various works and acting.

'Jeonran' is a Netflix film about a time of chaos during the Japanese War, when "Jongryo" (Park Jung-min), the son of Joseon's highest military family, and his body type "Cheon-young" (Kang Dong-won) become enemies and meet again as a righteous army officer, closest to "Sunjo" (Cha Seung-won).

The film, which was previously selected as the opening film of the 29th Busan International Film Festival on the 2nd and unveiled, succeeded in attracting the audience's response, and was released worldwide on the 11th and is gaining popularity.

On this day, Park Jung-min said, "I am surprised and grateful that 'Jeonran' was selected as the opening film of the Busan International Film Festival." He said, "At first, I thought it was surprising, but after watching the movie, I was convinced," because he had not seen the movie before the Busan International Film Festival.

"Whether I agree with that message or not, I like movies that have a message," he said. "I liked 'Jeon, Lan' because the message was like a clear movie." "What should I do to be a good member of this society where freedom is guaranteed? What kind of leader do you need? What kind of value do I have to live with? I think it's a movie that asks the question," he said, explaining the meaning of the "war" he thinks.

This is the first film in which he works with actor Kang Dong-won, and Park Jung-min also expressed satisfaction with it. He said, "I respect him as an actor, but I've been a fan for such a long time that I really wanted to work with him. There was a unique aura that came out while acting, so I was mesmerized and watched the filming site," he said with a smile.

In particular, he showed a deep bromance beyond friendship, and Park Jung-min compared himself to Romeo and Kang Dong-won to Juliet. He continued, "I didn't disappoint you while filming. I want to take a long breath once again. Since Kang Dong-won talked about comedy, criminal movies would be good. There will definitely be synergy from conflicting images," he said, adding that he looks forward to another meeting.

In response, Park Jung-min showed humility, saying, "I just read the script meticulously rather than creative and brilliant ideas and listen to the directors' orders." He then said, "Even when I was studying while directing a short film, I liked the actor who acted as I wanted the best. That's how I just try to act exactly as the coach wants me to do," he added.

However, he also announced his plan to take a moment to reorganize and recharge so that he will no longer replicate himself. Park Jung-min, who described it as a "time of collection," said, "I think we need a break in order not to repeat the same language."

Above all, he is the author of the 2016 prose collection "Usable Man" and the leading 愛 in the film industry who currently runs a publishing company, and he also announced his plan to devote more energy to publishing during the break. In particular, referring to Han Kang's recent Nobel Prize in Literature, Park Jung-min said, "I think it's a good influence because it seems to have been an opportunity for many people to read books with interest in books. I want to run a publishing company hard and write my book," he said, signaling various activities.
