On the 14th local time, the Dow Jones rose 0.51% to 43,081.67 on the New York Stock Exchange, crossing the 43,000-point mark for the first time in history, amid Columbus Day, a national holiday.
The S&P 500 also rose 0.8% to a new all-time high of 5,861.50 points, while the Nasdaq Composite closed 0.87% higher at 18,502.64.
