A group of people who operated an illegal gambling site worth 200 billion won was arrested.

The Jeonbuk National Police Agency arrested five people, including a 30-year-old site operator A, on charges of operating an illegal gambling site and pocketing a large amount of money, and booked 30 members, including teenagers, without detention.

Mr. A and others are accused of operating an illegal site with 100,000 members between July last year and April this year, rolling 200 billion won in gambling funds in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do.

The police are investigating additional illegal funds by preserving 1.2 billion won in criminal proceeds before prosecution through account tracking.
