A worker in his 30s who was working on replacing elevators at a five-star hotel in Yeongjong-do, Incheon, fell from a height of 12th floor and died.
The man who died was confirmed to belong to a subcontractor of an elevator manufacturer.
It has been confirmed that two people, including this man, were working together at the time of the work.
The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Task Force is investigating company officials for negligence in their work and the exact circumstances of the accident.
The Central Regional Employment and Labor Administration has also issued an order to suspend work and is considering whether to apply the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
