Suspended execution of imprisonment in the first trial of a director who operated a dental clinic in the form of a network

A dental director accused of violating medical laws and operating more than 20 dental clinics in a network was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence in the first trial.

The Seoul Central District Court today (15th) sentenced the dental director A, who is suspected of violating the medical law, to three years in prison and five years of probation.

A did not attend today's sentencing hearing, and the court did not explain the reason for the sentencing.

Mr. A is accused of operating a total of 22 dental hospitals by mobilizing 18 directors from August 2012 to November 2015.

The current medical law stipulates that medical personnel cannot open or operate more than one medical institution.

The prosecution suspended the prosecution of A, who left for the United States during the investigation, and handed him over to trial without detention in December last year, considering that his accomplices were first convicted of violating the medical law.
