President Yoon Declares 14 Special Disaster Areas in Eup, Myeon, and Dong Affected by Heavy Rain

President Yoon Suk Yeol has declared 14 towns, villages, and dongs as special disaster areas, including Chilsan Seobu-dong in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province, where torrential rain damage occurred.

In a written briefing, the presidential office's former spokesman, Jeong Hye-jeon, said President Yoon is sorry for many residents who suffered damage such as houses and crops due to surprise heavy rains last month, and declared 14 more special disaster areas.President

Yoon called on relevant ministries to provide prompt support for affected farmers and to take care of damage to roads and houses, as well as various fare reductions.

In addition, there is a possibility of heavy rain this month due to the abnormal climate, and the disaster safety authorities urged the government not to let go of the tension until the end and to make sure there is no additional damage.
