On the 10th, the Incheon District Court sentenced a Russian national man A, who was charged with attempted murder, to seven years in prison.
The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying that A's criminal method was cruel and the crime was bad, and although the victim did not die, severe punishment was inevitable.
Earlier, A was put on trial in July on charges of injuring B, a man of Uzbekistan nationality, by wielding a weapon at a resort in Jung-gu, Incheon.
Mr. A was found to have committed the crime because he was angry when Mr. B, whom he had known, borrowed 1.2 million won and did not pay it back on time.
