The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to crack down on illegal online sales and advertising of the obesity treatment Wegovy, which was released in Korea, for a month.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that it will closely promote safety management after marketing for side effects and misuse.

He emphasized that it is illegal to sell it by a person who is not a pharmacy founder because Hugo Bee is a specialty drug that must be used according to a doctor's prescription and a pharmacist's preparation.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to form and operate a rapid monitoring response team to examine side effects and abnormal cases caused by the use of gastric emptying.
