"Football player Mbappe accused of sexual assault in Sweden"

French soccer star Kylian Mbappe has been questioned by local investigative authorities on charges of sexual assault in Sweden, French daily Le Figaro and others reported on the 15th, citing local media.

Swedish media outlet Xpressen and others said Mbappe, who recently visited Sweden, was accused of sexual assault by a woman.

The identity or nationality of the woman is unknown.The local police, who received the

complaint, visited the hotel where Mbappe stayed under the direction of the prosecution on the 14th and collected related evidence, including closed-circuit TV videos.

Mbappe, however, claimed on his social media X on the afternoon of the 14th that his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), which is in a dispute over unpaid wages with him, had created a rumor.
