19 casualties' arrest of Bucheon Hotel fire president, etc.

Four people, including a hotel president accused of poor safety management and initial response in connection with the fire at a hotel in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, which caused 19 casualties, have been arrested.

The Bucheon Branch of the Incheon District Court issued an arrest warrant today (15th) for four people, including hotel president A, who is suspected of professional manslaughter, saying they are feared to flee.

Earlier, after completing the arrest examination, A and others came to the court and did not answer the reporters' questions about whether they could not predict the risk of fire and whether they usually leave the hallway fire door open.

They are accused of killing seven guests and injuring 12 others due to poor safety management in a fire at a hotel in Jung-dong, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, on August 22.
