The International Shooting Federation said on its website that China's Liu Yikun has been selected as the female athlete, Yang Ji-in, and the male athlete.
Yang Ji-in is the fourth Korean player to receive the Player of the Year Award, which is selected by the votes of the committee, coaches and reporters in each category, since Kim Jang-mi in 2012 and Jin Jong-oh in 2008 and 2014.
Yang had her best year, winning a gold medal at the Olympics and two Asian championships.
