Two pandas, which the Chinese government leases to the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington, D.C., have arrived at Dulles Airport near Washington.

CNN filmed and released a moving cage carrying two pandas from a cargo plane.

The male and female pandas, which will be rented as part of China's "Panda Diplomacy," are 3-year-old Chin Bao and Bao, who will be nestled in the U.S. over the next 10 years.

The Smithsonian Zoo plans to close its zoo today and set up a panda cage.

Panda fans in the U.S. are looking forward to seeing their pandas rented out again about a year after a pair of giant pandas left the Smithsonian Zoo in Washington in November last year.

Discussions on China's re-lease of pandas began when Chinese President Xi Jinping first mentioned it after the U.S.-China summit in November last year.

In May, after the panda rental was decided, a video of Jill Biden carrying a panda doll and delivering a welcome message was posted on the Smithsonian Zoo website.
