The Ministry of Science and ICT has revised domestic technology standards that regulate Starlink to provide stable services without frequency interaction and began an administrative notice for 60 days from yesterday (15th).
As a result, it is expected to take about four months to approve the cross-border supply agreement between Starlink Korea and SpaceX headquarters in the U.S. and review procedures by the Ministry of Legislation.
Starlink's service in South Korea was originally expected to be in the first quarter of last year, but it continued to be delayed, and the service was unclear for more than a year after the government said in October last year that it was "in the process of receiving necessary documents and in the final stages."
'Starlink' is SpaceX's satellite communication service established by Elon Musk, which has the advantage of providing fast and stable Internet regardless of location using low-orbit satellites.
