Today, KBS board of directors selected three people, including KBS President Park Min, Anchor Park Jang-beom, and Newsweek Kim Sung-jin, as candidates for interviews with the new president.
Opposition directors did not participate in the vote, pointing out the suspicion of candidate Park Min's "proxy preparation of a management plan" raised during the parliamentary audit.
Opposition directors said the fairness and transparency of the president's appointment process have been damaged, and they argued that the selection of interviewees should be temporarily canceled and the appointment process should be suspended until suspicions are identified.
