At the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee's audit of the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), the ruling and opposition parties criticized in unison that the lax management of finances should be improved.

The ruling party criticized the Supreme Court's ruling that HUG's Housing and Urban Fund, which has been financed by public housing builders at low interest rates over the past two decades, has been concentrated on Booyoung Group, which has gained unfair profits from the sale conversion.

At the same time, he asked how many lawsuits related to Booyoung were filed, but HUG said it could not inform him that it was a sensitive issue, urging him to investigate the situation and solve it.

The opposition party pointed out that nine tenants suffered damage when HUG issued new guaranteed insurance on condition of repaying debts to malicious renters who did not return billions of won in deposits.

In response, HUG President Yoo Byung-tae bowed his head and apologized to the affected tenants.
