Elon Musk's space company SpaceX has filed a lawsuit against a California public agency that refused to authorize the expansion of the number of rocket launches.A complaint filed in federal court

Los Angeles shows that the California Coastal Commission recently rejected a SpaceX request to increase annual rocket launches from 36 to 50.

SpaceX has filed a lawsuit challenging the decision, claiming it reflects its intent to retaliate politically against Elon Musk.

The members of the California Coastal Commission are made up of Democratic governors and Democratic-majority state legislators.

Musk has been actively supporting Republican former President Trump ahead of the presidential election and has also been on the Trump campaign stage.
