British band 'One Direction' Liam Payne dies

Liam Payne, a former member of the British pop boy band One Direction, has died in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Buenos Aires police say Payne fell from a balcony on the third floor of the hotel and died at the scene with severe injuries.

Buenos Aires security officials told the Associated Press that Payne had been found to have thrown himself, while authorities were investigating the death through an autopsy.

Fans gathered around the hotel where Payne died to pay tribute to the deceased.

Payne, who has died at 31, has a 7-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole.
