Yoo Yong-won, a member of the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly, said in a parliamentary audit of the Army that about 2,800 army officials are waiting because they have not been assigned military officials.

Yoo said, "Considering that many executives above the rank of majors will begin to move their positions this month, this figure is expected to increase further at the end of the year."

He pointed out that most of the executives who failed to enter the official residence are staying in temporary residential facilities such as single-person accommodations and auxiliary halls, and their families are in unstable residential conditions in the form of separation from the official residence of the previous unit.

He then demanded an increase of 1.8 million won, the average annual moving cost of military executives, to 2.4 million won, but stressed the urgent need for additional budgeting, saying it was not reflected in next year's government budget.
