Financial Supervisory Service Director Lee Bok-hyun said Koo Young-bae, head of QTEN Group, may have been involved in key decision-making related to the fund management of the so-called "Timple" (Timmon and Wimple). This contradicts past remarks that CEO Koo was not involved in fund management.

When asked by Kim Jae-sup, a member of the People's Power, at the parliamentary inspection of the National Policy Committee on the 17th, Lee replied, "There is a situation in which representative Koo Young-bae was practically involved in the fund management of Timon and Wemakep." Rep. Kim pointed out that even though representative Koo Young-bae denied Timon and Wemakeff's fund management during the parliamentary audit, he disclosed internal e-mail data that could refute this and that there were specific instructions.

Director Lee Bok-hyun said, "We confirm that some of representative Koo's statements are not true," adding, "We believe he was particularly involved in major decision-making on fund management and damage spread." However, since it is related to the prosecution's investigation, specific comments were avoided.

Asked about how CEO Koo Young-bae raised funds for the Wish acquisition, Lee also said, "We are aware of it to some extent, but it is difficult to respond positively because the prosecution's investigation is underway." He added, "We will cooperate with the prosecution to thoroughly investigate whether it is illegal and what has been wrong."

The remarks cast doubt on representative Koo Young-bae's statements regarding the management of the funds, further raising interest in the results of future prosecution investigations.
