Earlier, A was arrested in Chonburi, Thailand, on the 3rd and was escorted to Bangkok, where he conducted a live YouTube broadcast on his smartphone.

In addition, the detention center also turned on live broadcasts several times to show the inside and talked with subscribers who participated in real-time chat. Footage of arm-wrestling with foreigners in custody after smoking cigarettes was also broadcast live.

According to a JTBC report on the 14th, Mr. A said on a live broadcast at the time, "In my life...He said, "I came to Thailand and lived to Thai imprisonment." He also said, "Thanks to those who support me hard, I get a lot of courage."

Regarding the use of smartphones in the detention center, he said, "I gave (the police) enough money. There is no police who didn't receive money from me," he claimed.

The immigration office said A was wanted in Korea on drug trafficking charges and was illegally staying in Thailand for 373 days over the period allowed for visas. Regarding the case, an immigration official said, "Regardless of the court ruling, all detainees should be closely monitored," adding, "A's two police officers were suspended from their duties and a disciplinary committee was formed."
