As the ruling and opposition parties shared the positions of heads of basic organizations in traditional dominant regions in the October 16 by-elections, the prevailing analysis is that both sides "advised."

Despite the negative factors of each ruling and opposition parties, some say that conservative public sentiment still sided with representative Han Dong-hoon and Honam public sentiment with representative Lee Jae-myung.

Among the four heads of local governments, the people's power, which succeeded in Mercury in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, is considered "propaganda."

There is also an atmosphere of celebrating that the last-minute strategy of fighting for power was effective despite the fact that the approval rating fell due to the party-government conflict and the unification of the opposition party.

In a phone call with YTN, the Busan local lawmaker said that the party leadership's broadening of contact with local residents through street campaigns sparked the gathering of traditional supporters, and above all, they won by an overwhelming margin.

It is regrettable that Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, gave more votes to the Democratic Party than expected, but considering that the opponent was an experienced candidate who challenged three times, it was still a good shot.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of People's Power: We sincerely thank the sovereign people for choosing us. I don't like many things, but I know you gave me a precious opportunity considering my country.

The Democratic Party is also relieved that it has not traditionally given up two positions in the Honam region, where the progressive camp is strong.

Representative Lee Jae-myung received four trials, controversy over lawmaker Kim Young-bae's "waste of blood money" erupted at the end of the campaign, and the Cho Kuk Innovation Party and the Progressive Party made strides.

In particular, some interpreted that the votes of Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, where the opposition three-way race was held, as an expectation for the next administration led by representative Lee Jae-myung.

In particular, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, was significant in that it made a narrower difference than expected at 8%p despite security concerns.

[Lee Jae-myung / Democratic Party leader: Elections are the people's choice after all. All of our candidates did well, and traditionally strong areas of the ruling party showed the strength of the ruling party, but congratulations to our representative Han Dong-hoon for the victory.

Both the ruling and opposition parties can laugh even at the "no match" because they focus on the fact that the public sentiment of the supporters in each camp has not turned.

In other words, there were few bad news in both parties, but resolving the conflict between the party and the government remains a challenge for representative Han Dong-hoon and overcoming judicial risks for representative Lee Jae-myung.
