The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the National Land Management Agency said they will inspect 94 high-risk areas across the country, including the complex development site of Yeongdong-daero underground space in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The inspection team plans to focus on whether planning, construction, and management are being carried out properly to prevent ground subsidence, such as the soil blocking method and the cutoff method, and then take administrative measures such as suspension of construction if illegal acts are caught.
