Police forced investigation into 'suspected embezzlement of school funds' by Hwimungo and Foundation

Police seized and searched the foundation and the school in connection with allegations of corruption at Whimoon Euisuk, a school foundation of Whimoon High School in Gangnam, Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's anti-corruption crime investigation team today (18th) sent investigators to the foundation and Hwimungo's office to secure related data on charges such as embezzlement of the foundation and violation of the private school law.

Chairman Kim and others are said to have been accused of treating the income of Hwimungo School as corporate accounting rather than school accounting and spending money for students at discretion.
