[Incheon] Bringing in "trick" waste from the Seoul metropolitan landfill...I've been caught in the 520s this year.

There are a series of cases in which vehicles carrying household waste to landfills in the Seoul metropolitan area are caught mixing and bringing in prohibited waste.

The Seoul Metropolitan Landfill Management Corporation said a total of 520 vehicles carrying household waste from the Seo-gu Seoul Metropolitan Landfill Site in Incheon were found to have violated the regulations.

As a major example, 54.8% of the "unregistered waste" mix was brought in, followed by 40% of the "recycling target" mix and 2.5% of the domestic industrial waste designated bags.

In the case of mixed imports, if the ratio of illegal waste exceeds 10% of the total by visual inspection after spreading the waste, the crackdown will be detected, and penalties such as 49 points and export measures will be imposed according to the import regulations.

In particular, institutions or companies that have received penalty points must pay a penalty surcharge multiplied by the accumulated monthly penalty points per t of waste in the future.

This year, household waste from 57 local governments in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province is being brought into the Seoul metropolitan landfill.
