More than 250,000 households pay only health insurance premiums..."Mistrust of the National Pension Service"

While health insurance premiums are paid faithfully, the national pension has reached 254,000 households in arrears.

According to the data received by Seo Young-seok of the Democratic Party of Korea from the National Health Insurance Corporation, as of August, 43 times more households paid only health insurance premiums than those who paid only the national pension.

In particular, the delinquency of national pension premiums for generations who faithfully pay health insurance premiums totaled 735 billion won.

Lawmaker Seo analyzed that the delinquency of national pension premiums stemmed from distrust, and pointed out that the government, which announced a pension reform plan to "pay more and receive less," should work harder to improve the system.
