The Seoul High Court ruled today (18th) that the plaintiff lost in a lawsuit filed by Aga Dongsan and his owner, identified only by his surname Kim, against Netflix, asking for 300 million won in compensation.
The court did not specify the reason for the sentence.
Earlier, the first trial court ruled that the allegations in the case were sufficiently understandable and that even if Kim could feel a little unpleasant, the video could not be seen as an offensive and derogatory personal attack.
{I'm a God' documentary is an eight-part video about the religious leaders of four religious organizations, including the Aga Garden.
In the video, Aga Dongsan raised the issue of Kim's claim that he forced his followers to work hard and that other believers assaulted and killed them who refused to do so.
