At the National Assembly Education Committee's parliamentary audit of Chungcheong universities and university hospitals held at Chungbuk National University, there was a heated debate over the increase in medical schools.

Rep. Jeong Eul-ho of the Democratic Party of Korea criticized, saying, "The people's lives have been destroyed by the policy of increasing the number of medical schools," adding, "It is questionable whether universities will be teaching more students through on-site inspections."

Rep. Kim Moon-soo, a member of the same party, also pointed out that he doubts that Chungbuk National University has overstretched its quota, saying that practice is important as it deals with human life, but it will be a problem because it is full.

Kim Yong-tae, a member of the People's Power, said that the trust among medical professors seems to have collapsed in relation to the increase in medical schools, and that a lot of communication is needed.

In this regard, Chungbuk National University President Ko Chang-seop said, "We are trying to secure full-time professors in medical schools for the education of medical students," and explained that 35 full-time professors are currently open for public recruitment.

Cho Kwang-hee, president of Chungnam National University Hospital, said all hospitals are working to overcome management after the absence of the major, adding that the second phase of emergency treatment is underway to overcome the management crisis as net profit is expected to decrease.
