Victims and bereaved families who lost their lives or suffered side effects after being vaccinated against COVID-19 voluntarily demolished the memorial altar at Cheonggye Square in Seoul for the first time in two years and nine months.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Victims Family Council announced yesterday that it had demolished a tent that served as a joint memorial altar at Cheonggye Square and organized portrait pictures.

Regarding the reason for the demolition, Jung-gu Office explained that it took measures such as imposing compensation for unauthorized occupation of Cheonggye Square.

The Vaccine Victim Family Council plans to set up a joint memorial altar in a tent near Yeouido National Assembly Station and continue its activities.

The Victims' Family Council said that they are vaccinated in accordance with government policy and that quarantine has been 100% successful only when the victims are rescued, but serious patients among the victims have not been treated and are dying.
