The Korea Meteorological Administration said that as rain clouds developed in the central West Sea gradually move eastward and flow in, there will be some places with heavy rain of around 20 to 30 millimeters per hour, mainly in the central and northern regions at one point in the early morning.
Up to 120mm of heavy rain is expected in the mountains and east coast of Gangwon-do until today, 80mm of rain is expected in Chungcheong and southern coasts, and up to 60mm in inland areas such as the metropolitan area.
Along with rain, strong winds with instantaneous wind speeds of more than 20m around the coastal area and high waves of up to 6m are expected in some seas, so caution is needed.
The rain will stop gradually from the Midwest at dawn today, and the east coast and the south coast of Jeollanam-do will continue until night, and Jeju Island will continue until dawn the day after tomorrow.
After the rain, the cold in the north will move south, and the morning temperature in Seoul and other inland areas will drop to single digits tomorrow, making it the coldest this fall.
