A ritual to enshrine a portrait of King Taejo Lee Seong-gye, who founded Joseon in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, will be reproduced.

This is an event that proved the process of bringing back the Taejo Eojin to Seoul to simulate the founder of Jeonju Gyeonggijeon.

There is an issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Seo Jihyun!

You're in the midst of preparations for the event there?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.

I'm at Nosong Square in Jeonju right now.

Preparations for the Taejo Eojin enshrinement procession will be underway soon.

If the mayor of Jeonju moves in a Jeolla official uniform, the ceremony will begin first.

Following this, a ceremony will be held to announce the departure of the King Taejo Eojin enshrinement procession.

The Taejo Eojin enshrinement procession and ritual are traditional cultural events that can only be seen in Jeonju, a tourist hub city.

'wound' means a portrait of a king.

A total of 26 eojin of Taejo Lee Seong-gye, the founder of Joseon, were produced, but it is the only existing version of Eojin, which is stored at the Eojin Museum in Gyeonggijeon, Jeonju.

The old and worn-out Jinbon Eojin in 1872 was washed with water and buried in the back of the game, and eight new painters copied it.

The only book that contains the eojin production techniques of the early Joseon Dynasty is designated as a national treasure of Korea.

Eojin is like a king beyond the meaning of a portrait of a king, so the enshrinement ceremony was an important event for the royal family.

Jeonju City reproduces the eojin procession of the past based on thorough historical evidence so that you can see the Joseon Dynasty ritual culture at a glance.

The procession of King Taejo Eojin enshrinement designates Nosong Square as the main station where the king stops and rests during the trip, and runs through Chung-gil and Pungnammun intersection to Gyeonggijeon.

At the Pungnammun intersection and the main gate of Gyeonggijeon, you can also take commemorative photos with Jeonju Mayor and Jeonju Mayor wearing the royal robe of the Joseon Dynasty.

For the event, Jeonju City will implement traffic control for the section sequentially until 3:15 p.m. today.

The Eojin Museum in Gyeonggi-do displays historical moments of drawing, serving, and protecting Eojin.

You can also experience Time Labs using immersive realistic media and Making Your Own Eojin using facial recognition AI in the simulation process of eojin.

The exhibition of Taejo Eojin Jinbon will also be held from October 29 to November 12.

Why don't you have a meaningful time here, the main building of the Joseon Dynasty, to enjoy the atmosphere of autumn and reflect on the historical meaning?

So far, I'm Seo Jihyun of YTN at Nosong Square in Jeonju.
