On the 19th local time, French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barro and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibyha held a joint press conference in Kyiv, Ukraine.
"If it's true that North Korea sent troops to support Russia, it would be a big problem that deepens the crisis," said Barro, who visited Kyiv for the first time since taking office last month.
He then stressed that the dispatch of North Korean troops "will be proof that Moscow is struggling in the war."
Bihi also expressed concern that the North Korean military's involvement in the war in Ukraine would pose a "huge risk of escalation."
Earlier, the National Intelligence Service said North Korea has decided to send a large number of special forces to the war in Ukraine to help Russia and is expected to be 12,000 people.
