South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-heum, a former member of the People's Power Party, said to Han Dong-hoon, the People's Power Party leader, a day before his meeting with President Yoon Suk Yeol, that a solitary confidence without a foundation of trust is not a solitary confession, but a downbeat or negotiation.

Governor Kim wrote in a post on social media, saying that Han's demand for a private meeting, and that through the media, can only be interpreted as an impure intention to use it as a means of differentiating itself from his politics or the president.

He then criticized the ruling party's leader for saying that restoring trust with the president is a priority, saying that he had said everything he had to say, even mentioning the president's right to personnel appointments through the media, and that he did not know what else he had to say.

He also stressed that as the leader of the ruling party, the Democratic Party's violent opposition to Congress and its pursuit of impeachment are the first to consider and deal with it.
