According to the Israeli military, about 160 rockets were fired from Lebanon on the 20th local time, targeting the northern Israeli city of Safed.
Local authorities say they have received several reports of the rocket crash and are deploying 15 fire teams and six helicopters to extinguish the fire in the area where it has caught fire.
Some sections of Israel's longest Highway 90 were blocked as police and a bomb squad worked to recover from the rocket's crash.
Although the number of rockets launched into Israel from southern Lebanon has been increasing since the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, only minor damage has been reported so far.
