Singer Lim Young-woong's live concert film "I'm Hero the Stadium" (hereinafter referred to as "I'm Hero the Stadium") has become the most successful movie of all time.
According to the Film Council's integrated computer network of movie theater admission tickets today (21st), I'm Hero the Stadium recorded a cumulative audience of 346,291 until the previous day.
This is more than the final audience of BTS's "Love Yourself in Seoul" (2019), which attracted the largest number of viewers as a live concert film, with 342,366.
"I'm Hero the Stadium," released on August 28, is a work about Lim Young-woong's live performance at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in May this year and the story behind it. In particular, it was the first concert movie to be released in special theaters such as IMAX and ScreenX.
Although the ticket price of such a special hall is higher than that of ordinary theaters, the cumulative sales alone are 9.8 billion won as the audience gathers on the strength of being able to feel the concert site more realistic. According to the current trend, the movie industry predicts that "I'm Hero the Stadium" can sell 10 billion units for the first time in a live performance movie.
