The Lium Museum of Art, run by the Samsung Cultural Foundation, will build an archive system containing data from modern and contemporary Korean art that has been in the collection and will be released from today. The

rium archive is divided into 'art records' and 'art museum records', which are data collected by the Korean Art Archives, an art-specialized archive established by the Samsung Foundation in 1999.

The museum records refer to the archives of art spaces such as the Lium Museum and Hoam Museum, Hoam Gallery, Rodin Gallery, and Plateau.

The art record consists of 40,000 Korean modern and contemporary art materials donated in 1998 by Lee Gu-yeol, a first-generation art journalist and critic, and 45,000 donated materials by artists.

Lee Gu-yeol's donation included the original edition of Korea's first art magazine "Art," which was founded in September 1947, as well as "Forming Art" and "Chosun Art Exhibition."

In addition, Kim Hwan-ki's letters to and from Western painter Park Seok-ho, as well as his exhibition of Kim Hwan-ki's special retrospective at the 1975 Sao Paulo Biennale, and related documents from the Bandhwalang and Asia Foundation, which connected Park Soo-geun with foreign sponsors. In the

rium website, and the actual data can be viewed in the archives of the Lium Museum every Friday after applying for a reservation on the website.
