Supreme Council member Kim Byung-joo said at the Supreme Council that North Korea seems to have started sending troops to the war against Ukraine to help Russia, saying it is a dangerous act that threatens world peace.
"The Yoon Suk Yeol regime is largely responsible for the deterioration of the security situation," he said, criticizing President Yoon's split diplomacy as one of the factors that provided an excuse for the military alliance between North Korea and Russia.
Supreme Council member Lee Eon-ju said some of the people's forces insist on sending observers to Ukraine, and he pointed out that no country has officially dispatched any ally without sending combat troops.
He also said that the possibility of a dramatic end to the war after the U.S. presidential election cannot be ruled out, urging Korea to be wary of spreading the war in Ukraine for peace on the Korean Peninsula and for the lives and safety of the people.
