Reports say Israel has offered the U.S. a condition that it would directly monitor pro-Iranian militant Hezbollah instead of halting a full-scale attack on Lebanon.

U.S. media Axios reported on the 20th local time that the Israeli government recently delivered a document containing the terms of the end of the war to the White House.

Israel's conditions include direct monitoring of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon across the border and ensuring the Israeli air force's free operations in Lebanese airspace.

However, it is pointed out that these conditions are "not realistic" in conflict with the 2006 U.N. Security Council resolution that established a "blue line," a kind of border between Israel and Lebanon.

The U.S. also believes Israel's requirements are excessive, but Israel is reportedly refusing to directly monitor Hezbollah, citing its nominal U.N. resolution.
