A magnitude 2.1 earthquake struck 37 km north-northwest of Gilju, North Hamgyeong Province, at around 1:50 a.m. today (22nd).

The epicenter is 41.27 degrees north latitude and 129.20 degrees east longitude, with an earthquake depth of 18 kilometers.

Gilju is the area where North Korea's nuclear test site is located, and the Korea Meteorological Administration analyzed the earthquake as a natural earthquake.
